I just wanted to pass on the link to an excellent website for anyone doing research in the Cleveland, OH area: http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohcuyah2/

Through the use of this site, and due to some excellent suggestions from Jim Heimann, I'm starting to make some headway with researching the "elusive" Schmuck's in my family.

This site has a link to the Necrology (death) Files maintained by the Cleveland Public Library. When you view the files be aware that the information you see in this online file is the same information they have at the library. After about 1976, the library started microfilming the actual obits from the Plain Dealer and the Cleveland Press. These are indexed and can be ordered from the library. At the time of writing this, there is no charge to order up to 3 obits.
