I could not find any Spangers in my files. I checked the Ellis Island site to see if that could give any hints. There were only 19 listed. One is listed as from Yugoslavia. Artur from Radovlica, Slovenian, with mother of Maria, and going to Cambridge, Mass. A couple were from Russia. The rootsweb.com site had more names but most listed as being born in the United States. Some had Germany as place of birth.
