Dear Dr. Christoph Tepperberg: My grandfather was an Austrian officer, serving during the World War 2 he was to Ukraine, where he married my grandmother. In 1944, when the Russian army surrounded the territory where my grand-father's army took place, he was killed. Due to dangerous situation my grandmother was in, she left the country, and never told her Austrian husband's name to anyone, neither to my father. I only know that the first name was Rudolph. Could you please write me if there is any kind of list of those officers who actually were at that time in Ukraine? If there is any possibility to find out about my grandfather? I would really appreciate your help. Sincerely, Veronika
